Felons Seafood

Seafood$$$

The views are stunning and the fish are jumping at this new waterside restaurant.

It’s quite an undertaking for a brewery to step into the world of demi-fine dining, but here’s Felons Seafood, the next step in Manly Wharf domination for the Artemus Group (behind popular Brisbane precinct Howard Smith Wharves) after Felons Brewery launched in late 2024.

Overseen by chefs Corey Costelloe (20 Chapel) and Luke Bourke (a former Good Food Young Chef of the Year), the menu focuses on responsibly caught seafood, treated with respect and care. Crisp, golden potato scallops are fancified with cool, herby blue-swimmer crab remoulade, prawn cocktails come with buttered brown bread, and fish and chips means picking between four options, fried in lager batter until strawberry-blonde and served with tallow-fried chips.

But then as all the rattan and French windows suggest, things can get fancy, with Josper-seared coral trout and NT mud crab in pepper sauce served with roti among the highlights. As long as the service catches up, it’ll be a force.

Good to know: The Felons beers on tap are good value, but there’s a surprisingly hefty wine selection for a restaurant opened by a brewery.
