Tothy Brothers Deli

American$

House of hot pastrami and a flavour-packed dinner menu.

Tothy Brothers can be mistaken for any other sandwich-spruiking deli that’s popped up recently, but it has an ace up its sleeve: it smokes its own meats.

Brothers Blake and Sean Toth cut their teeth at market stalls with their smoked goods before finding a permanent home in this quiet suburban strip.

By day, you can get amongst a range of classic American sangers with smoked brisket, pastrami-style smoked salmon, Nashville hot chicken and cheese steaks.

From dusk, the menu adds smashburgers and the smoker expands its repertoire with a crispy half-chook and koji-glazed lamb shoulder swimming in bourbon-peppercorn gravy. Pair that lamb with a highly refreshing wedge salad drizzled in buttermilk ranch and dressed in pecorino.

The range of local beers and Australian wines will also easily kick start your weekend session, and keep an eye on the Tothy socials for regular “Taco Sundays” with live music outdoors.
