Pepperoni gelato. Parmesan gelato. Sriracha sorbet. Messina has come up with some surprising flavours before but nothing quite like this. The gelato giant is now serving sweet and savoury scoops at its new restaurant and wine bar Erin, which has taken over the former Messina Creative space in Marrickville.

Diners have the option to choose from a six-course set menu or an à la carte experience. You’ll even be able to drop in for a drink or snack.

Every dish on the menu has a frozen element to it, from the beetroot tart with caramelised walnuts and goat’s cheese gelato to the steak tartare with jalapeño sorbet. The bar serves wines, beers and gelato cocktails, and of course, there’s Messina next door for dessert.
