Young Street Tavern

American$$

The decor is vintage kitsch, the soundtrack swings across decades and the food is classic Americana. This elevated clubhouse has mastered the art of crunch.

Ricotta-stuffed jalapeno poppers kick any hint of grease to the kerb. Bulky chicken tenders come in a red plastic basket with fiery pickles on the side. Pasture-fed Angus beef ribs spend time on the grill, as do sticky pork ribs in a jammy cola-bourbon glaze. Your burger choices are limited to beef or buttermilk chicken. Dodge the meat altogether for a cracking eggplant parma topped with fior di latte.

Apple pie is baked to order and served with whipped cream. A beer garden, booth seating and friendly bar team all contribute to the sentiment that this is a laidback local you’ll wish you had.
