Pizzeria Magma
Pizza$
A low-lit, low-fi HQ for puff-crusted pizza.
If you thought it was all over once Supermaxi moved out, think again. Pizzeria Magma is creating its own seismic rumblings with a vibe-heavy play on happy pizza hangout. The newly installed wood oven is a flaming wellspring for Naples-style pies that unite puff and char.
Toppings both classic and gently outre delight at just $20 a pie, a price-point that honours a mission to provide value for the neighbourhood. In column A, a faultless margherita; in column B, pepperoni with a cheeky shake of house-made ‘BBQ Shapes’ seasoning. A petit chicken parma champions quality bird and cheesy ooze while a plate of salumi, pickles and fior di latte is a shareable feast.
The stripped back ethos extends to a tight list of tap wine and just two desserts. A spoonful of chocolate mousse with a salty-sweet crunchy fried crumb will be either just right or simply not enough.
Must-order dish: Pizza margherita.
