Season Restaurant
Contemporary
'It's a perfect day and I'm here to pamper you.' Now that's a welcome that promises all kinds of wonderful. And Season delivers in spades. Andrew Tomlin has been at the kitchen's coalface for eight years. His menu sings of pared-back simplicity; perfect fodder for the beachfront location. House-made pizza base turns up polenta-dusted and crisp under sweet onion, tomato, goat's fetta and fresh basil pesto. Salt and pepper squid is possibly the best of its kind; curls of squid secreted away under salt, pepper and paprika crust. Rich and softly flavoured yellow curry sauce clings to mussels, local prawns and a host of other seafaring creatures; topped with herbaceous greens and slivers of chilli, it's a dish that soars. The kitchen and wait staff still can't put a foot wrong with cherry semifreddo with cinnamon-infused cherry compote, beads of caramelised white chocolate and cinnamon wafer culminating in an absolute corker of a dessert.
