Bakmi Lim Noodle Project

Indonesian$

Indonesian bakmi is the order at Bakmi Lim Noodle Project in the QV food court, where springy wheat noodles are topped with braised chicken or pork and a scatter of greens.

After growing up in Indonesia and eating noodles for breakfast every morning, owner David Lim wanted to create a restaurant that paid homage to his heritage and upbringing – which is why the store makes its noodles fresh every day, as Lim’s father would. Dishes are also inspired and adapted from Lim’s family recipes.

Born in Adelaide in 2016, the noodle shop’s popularity in South Australia led to the opening of the first Bakmi Lim store in Melbourne in 2024.
