The Dromedary Hotel

Contemporary$$

This heritage-listed hotel is steeped in history and definitely worth a visit. The two-storey building has a tiny bar area adorned with funnies and filled with colourful locals. There is a slightly larger dining area and a beer garden out back. The blackboard menu is unpretentious pub food: soup, big steaks produced locally, a chicken dish or two, fish and a variety of hamburgers. There are no entrees, a couple of desserts and meals are served with chips and salads or vegetables. The wine list is limited to a small range of Australian wines.
