The Good Food app is the home of the Good Food Guide, and it’s like having a reviewer on speed dial

Search more than 1200 trusted, independent reviews of restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs across Victoria, NSW and the ACT, including one, two and three hatted venues.

Have you ever been in an unfamiliar location and aren’t sure where to eat? Or maybe you’re looking for inspiration beyond your usual go-to? The Good Food app can help.

The Good Food app is home of the Good Food Guide, and where you’ll get the Guide’s full interactive experience. You’ll be able to filter and search, via the map, the full A to Z Guide, which includes more than 1200 trusted, independent reviews of restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs across Victoria, NSW and the ACT. The location-based “nearby” function shows you what’s in the vicinity. (The app also houses an additional 300 venue recommendations.)

attention, but the app helps cut through the chatter.

Digitising the Guide has been an exciting evolution for the Good Food brand, says Good Food app editor, Erina Starkey.

“It means you can search reviews across price points, styles and suburbs, and filter for cuisine types and dietary requirements, taking the guesswork out of a perfect night out. And if you’re travelling interstate or going on a road trip, you can set the app to “current location” so it’ll deliver options wherever you are.”

The app continues to receive updates, and the latest is a function that allows you to create and save customised lists of your favourite venues. You can name or categorise these lists any way you like, perhaps “Restaurants I want to go to on my birthday”, “Cafes to take the in-laws”, “Solo dining spots when in Melbourne” or “Pubs I can take my dog”.

You can also save Good Food recipes and articles, on topics ranging from nutrition to kitchen know-how, Adam Liaw’s Masterclass series and Just Open venue stories. There are 10,000-plus Good Food recipes from Australia’s top cooks, chefs and recipe creators such as RecipeTin Eats, Helen Goh, Rick Stein, Emelia Jackson and more.
