10am Coffee time. I usually wake up pretty late, so don’t eat breakfast.

12pm The first meal of the day is a big one – scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, hash browns, spinach, mushrooms and sourdough bread. Plus another coffee.

5.30pm A snack of salted popcorn and a protein shake. I don’t like a full stomach before show time at 7.30 due to acid reflux. No one is burping Tina!

11pm I get home hungry after the show. Dinner is lamb chops, carrots, broccoli and roast potatoes. Before bed I have half a block of dark chocolate and a cup of herbal tea.

Dr Joanna McMillan says:

Top marks for … Skipping breakfast. Since you have to eat dinner late, delaying your first meal of the day ensures an overnight fast and break for your digestive system of at least 12 hours. Both main meals are based on wholefoods delivering plenty of protein and an array of essential nutrients.

If you keep eating like this you’ll … Potentially struggle with acid reflux at night as you’re eating a substantial meal very late. This may also impact your sleep and can make weight control difficult.

Why don’t you try … Having a light, protein-rich dinner with plenty of vegies. Keep the dark chocolate to just a couple of squares or enjoy it earlier in the day. Elevate the head of your bed if reflux is an issue overnight and try not to lie down for at least an hour after eating.
