Thanks for joining us for another day on the trade blog.
The player movement space continued to take shape today with Brandon Starcevich getting his wish with a trade to West Coast (with a series of picks and Fremantle also involved); Judd McVee getting to Fremantle for pick No.23; Suns star Sam Flanders getting to the Saints for pick No.7; and Oscar Allen getting to the Lions, with West Coast then receiving pick No.2 as compensation – bumping all the other picks down one.
The Eagles now have picks one and two in the draft. In fact, of the top eight picks in the draft now, West Coast, Richmond, Essendon and the Gold Coast have two each.
We’ll be back tomorrow to do it all again, with some of the biggest names in the game – including Charlie Curnow, Christian Petracca, Zach Merrett and Clayton Oliver – potentially off to new footy homes.
Bye for now.
