The last pick of the night?
By
Another mature-ager to the Giants. Jacob Wehr from Woodville West-Torrens, a nice rebounding player who has had an impressive year and makes it onto a list as a 22-year-old. Had been playing reserves footy in the SANFL.

Just about done now.
By
Passes coming through at a rate of knots, thankfully. But the length of the draft will be a talking point. It's reverted to a one-night event but has gone for four hours. Just way too long.
West Coast have taken defender Isiah Winder at pick 57, a small from Peel Thunder who will get to stay in his home state.

Passes ticking over now
By
St Kilda pass, as do Brisbane. North take Western Jets midfielder/forward Eddie Ford late at pick 56. He was rated a bit higher by some, so there'll be a sense of relief for sure.

Dogs take smokey forward
By
The Dogs pluck Murray Bushrangers forward Dominic Bedendo.
Key defender Cody Brand is bid on by the Bulldogs at pick 53. The Bombers look to be going through a lengthy deliberation as to whether they will match. Eventually, they do, so the Dons have gone very tall, bringing in Nik Cox, Zach Reid, Josh Eyre and Cody Brand.
The Dogs then bid on Dockers' academy forward Joel Western, with Fremantle also matching at pick 54.

Essendon bid on Rioli
By
Maurice Rioli jnr, the son of late Richmond Norm Smith Medallist Maurice snr, is bid on by Essendon at pick 51. But the Tigers match the bid and the small forward officially becomes a Tiger. The Tigers had earlier bid on Dons' academy kid Josh Eyre. Essendon now pass at pick 52.
The Eagles then take Luke Edwards, the son of Adelaide star Tyson Edwards. He was eligible as a father-son pick to Adelaide but the Crows opted against taking him.
A bid on Fremantle academy defender Brandon Walker, coming from Essendon at pick 50. Walker is a speedster, born in Ghana. The Dockers have matched the bid, and Walker becomes a Docker late in the draft.
