Travel advice: How should we get from Warsaw to Frankfurt?

AFTER A NORTHERN CAPITALS TOUR THAT FINISHES IN WARSAW MY WIFE AND I HAVE TWO NIGHTS BEFORE A GERMAN TOUR FROM FRANKFURT. HOW TO GET BETWEEN THE TWO CITIES AND HOW TO UTILISE THAT TIME? C. THOMAS, TAMWORTH NSW

The old, reconstructed heart of Warsaw has plenty of atmosphere. The Warsaw Rising Museum and the Polish Army Museum are both highly recommended as are the city's palaces. You can do a day tour to Krakow and Auschwitz from Warsaw. However, there's a chance that your first tour would have already included these. If so, then you'd be better off heading for Frankfurt. A flight should take about 4½ hours including travel time to and from the respective airports. Viator – viator.com/ – has plenty of options that will amply fill your two days, including a visit to Heidelberg, a Rhine River cruise, a visit to the Black Forest and Strasbourg and a trip to Neuschwanstein Castle, all great suggestions.
