Guangzhou's must-see museum

Michael Gebicki

I'm travelling to Guangzhou for work in late November and will have a few free days. What is there to see in the city or nearby, love museums, architecture, walks and real life. L. Ellis, Burwood NSW

Yuyin Mountain Villa is a standout, one of Guangzhou's classical villas and it's quite lovely. The Mausoleum of the Nanyue King is a museum of the Western Han Dynasty and one of China's outstanding museums, don't miss it. The temple of the Six Banyan Trees, Big Buddha Temple and Guangxiao Temple are all important landmarks in the city's history, while the Qingping Chinese Medicine Market is a fascinating insight into traditional Chinese medicine.
