The Italians are poised to finish strong in the mixed doubles with Greece after already securing a spot in the United Cup final against the US tomorrow.
Italy won the first set 6-3, although Greece have scored a break in the second.

Novak Djokovic closes out the match against Daniil Medvedev in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
The world No. 5 will face world 33, American Sebastian Korda, in tomorrow’s Adelaide International men’s final.
Despite an injury scare, Djokovic is in powerful form ahead of the Australian Open, where he’ll be gunning for his 22nd grand slam.
He says in the post-match interview the injury was “nothing serious” and he took some anti-inflammatories during his medical timeout.
Djokovic is serving for the match, and a spot in the Adelaide International final, after fending off a fierce attempt by Medvedev to break back on the Serb’s serve.

Djokovic has clinched an advantage over Medvedev in the second set, breaking the Russian to pull ahead 4-3.
If things keep going Djokovic’s way this match - at an hour and fifteen minutes - could be decided very soon.
Djokovic has taken the first set against Medvedev as the pair compete for the Adelaide International final against Sebastian Korda.
A troubled hamstring, which he strained during a slide, seems to be badgering the world No. 5 as he stretches between points and pulls up a little stiff during rallies. The problem thigh, his left, has been bandaged.

Djokovic v Medvedev 6-3, 0-1
The Adelaide International showdown between Medvedev and Djokovic paused after the Serb slid to save a point and immediately clutched the back of his left thigh.
Djokovic went on a medical timeout with a hamstring complaint.
He’s back on court, where he’s up 5-2 against Medvedev.
Djokovic’s match against Denis Shapovalov halted yesterday for a far more festive reason: an eight-minute firework display lighting up the skies of Adelaide.
“It’s a special moment to bring this important point to Italy. I’m so excited, so happy right now, I don’t have words,” says victor Lucia Bronzetti right before her teammate Lorenzo Musetti dumps a celebratory bottle of water on her head.
“I hate him,” she laughs he scurries back to a crew of jubilant Italians.
Greece and Italy will now play the mixed doubles match, a dead rubber after Italy confirmed their run into the final.
Team Italy will play Team USA tomorrow in Sydney for the inaugural United Cup final after Lucia Bronzetti defeated Valentini Grammatikopoulou in straight sets, winning the tie against Greece for Italy 3-1.
It’s a sensational result for the Italians, who lost the Brisbane city final to Poland but scored entry to the semis as best runner-up.
They’ve also knocked off the top-seeded team tonight.
