Rafa and McEnroe crack up crowd

In an entertaining post-match interview, McEnroe asked Rafa what the young Aussie needed to do to get a better scoreline next time after the last two results were the same, to which Rafa responded ‘I will not’.

He said he was sure de Minaur had a great team and he wouldn't need his help. 

And now he's looking forward to "the best news possible": playing again in the Open.

'Ups and downs'

Nadal says although he has ‘up and downs’ with his body, he is trying to enjoy every moment on court. He says his trainer has been instrumental in his career and thanked his team and the fans.

After the match, Rafa chatted with John McEnroe and complemented De Minaur for saving match points saying ‘it was unbelievable’. He says the youngster has ‘an amazing future’.
