Full-time and it finishes 0-0. What might have been for Adelaide. Plenty of clear chances went begging. Goodwin, Carrusca and Cirio were creative and dangerous, particularly on the attack. Sydney FC looked good early but faded, their midfield looked tired and lacking impetus. Sydney FC will be happy with the result especially as they go top of the table.

Miss at the death, inexcusable from Carrusca. AIR SWING! Beautiful ball delivered on a platter goal gaping, and the talented midfielder swung and missed. How Adelaide might rue that mistake.

Shane Smeltz almost punishes a Galekovic mistake. The goalkeeper flapped at a Sydney FC cross.

Ryall resorts to rugby tactics to drag Goodwin down. That was cynical. Takes the yellow, and rightly so. From the resulting free-kick, Kamau is penalised for checking Janjetovic in the air.

That was the run of the night. Adelaide's captain Cirio dinked his way past the Sky Blues defence forcing Janjetovic to produce a save of the finest quality. Waltzed his way through the SYdney FC backline.

Mabil leaves the pitch. He was dangerous but lacked a decisive touch. Unlucky not to have appeared on the scoresheet for Adelaide tonight.

Shane Smeltz delivers a superb ball to the back post. An inch too high for Janko. Perhaps a call from his teammate behind him would have helped...

Great crown for this clash on hot night in Adelaide.
