The Waratahs put in but were simply not good enough. Their defence needs work. Too many misreads and too many mistackles.
Michael Hooper led from the front and was followed by Jake Gordon and Tolu Latu. Mack Mason came into his own in the second-half and showed his potential.
The Crusaders counter-attacked and offloaded their way to victory. The forwards led by Matt Todd did their job while Mitch Hunt, Tim Bateman and David Havili were the sparks in the backline.
That's four losses by Australian teams against New Zealand sides this weekend. Not the best way to make an argument for keeping five Australian franchises.
