Good night

Thank you for following our 2023 Australian grand prix blog today.

And it’s one that will live long in the memory as the chaotic 58-lap race at Albert Park produced no fewer than four red flags. Carnage reigned as eight cars failed to finish.

In the end, it was Max Verstappen who emerged victorious after taking the lead in the 12th lap and staying in first place for the remainder of the race.

But there was plenty to cheer about for the local fans too with Melbourne boy Oscar Piastri winning his first championship points in his maiden Australian GP by finishing eighth.

We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Good night.
