And the players of the series are...
By
No shocks for either team. Steve Smith is the Australian player of the series, and the Compton–Miller Medal winner for best overall player. Ben Stokes takes the award for the English.
Jofra Archer is awarded man of the match for his six-wicket haul in the first inning.
Just as Australia looked like they would at the very least take this match to a final day - Wade has ended a brilliant innings with an absolute brain explosion. He charged down the wicket to meet a short one from Root, but it skidded past him and he was stumped by a couple of metres.
Disaster for Australia, with just eight overs to go in the day. That is surely curtains with almost 150 still required for victory.
Wade is given out - but quickly reviews and will stay put
By
Root with another tempter outside off stump, Wade reached for it and it took big deflection and up into the arms of the man at slip - the finger went up almost instantly, only matched by Wade's speed in reviewing.
Interestingly, Wade reviewed thinking he'd hit a bump ball - but the replay showed he missed it completely. Either way, it's not out and he fights on.
Just the slightest of noises as the ball whistled past the bat, but it's enough - England go up, so does the umpire's finger, and Cummins looks perplexed but then trudges off without reviewing.
Huge, huge wicket for England. Wade may well run out of partners here!
Root drills one into the rough outside off stump, Wade slashes and it's high and to the left of Ben Stokes at slip - he gets a hand to it but can't wrangle it in.
With the speed that was moving, that would have been a superb catch. Wade survives and Australia remain an outside chance of causing a shock result.

Matt Wade has done it - that's a century
By
Sensational innings from Matt Wade. He repelled a ferocious spell from Archer, and has had to wait patiently on 99 for a couple of overs but finally, the moment comes as he flicks one off the pads from Broad as his balcony erupts in applause.
Fourth century in Test cricket, second in the series - and after all the flak he's copped in the past couple of days for sledging, he's shut the critics up today.
