Stumps
By
It has been another dominant day for Australia, who are in a commanding position in the first Test after two days at the Gabba.
They reach stumps on 1/312, a lead of 72 runs with nine wickets in hand - and Steve Smith's still to come.
It's been one-way traffic since the lunch yesterday with Australia comprehensively winning the past five sessions.
Today belonged to David Warner, who is unbeaten on 151 after posting the 22nd century of his career and his first since the Boxing Day Test almost two years ago. Warner was caught behind on 56 off a no ball and "bowled" on 151 near stumps but the bail was not dislodged.
He and opening partner Joe Burns shared their second opening stand in excess of 200 runs. Unfortunately for Burns, he missed out on his century when he was bowled for 97.
Marnus Labuschagne continued his strong form from the Ashes to be not out on 55. He has a golden opportunity to push on for his maiden Test ton tomorrow.
There was little joy for Pakistan, whose bowlers lacked penetration on a batsman-friendly track.
Leggie Yasir Shah claimed their only wicket. They have a long day in the field again tomorrow. It's looking bleak for Azhar Ali's men.
Stand by for reports from our team of Greg Baum, Chris Barrett and Phil Lutton at the Gabba.
We'll be back tomorrow morning at 1030 (AEDT) for day three of the first Test. Good night.

Another 50 for Marnus
By
It's the sixth of his Test career, and fifth from his past eight innings. Marnus Labuschagne has an excellent opportunity to break through for his maiden century tomorrow.

Warner survives
By
David Warner shoulders arms and Imran Khan's clipped his off stump - but the bail does not dislodge, not even after being hit at 128.2 km/h. That's unlucky for Pakistan.

Bowling change
By
With Naseem Shah off the field, Imran Khan is back into the attack. He's had an ordinary day. His captain must agree. He's bowled only 11 overs, hardly the sort of workload you'd expect from Pakistan's most experienced seamer.

Naseem slowing down
By
The 16-year-old, Naseem Shah, clocked one at 147.7 km/h in his first over and was consistently in the mid 140s in the morning. In his last over, his pace dropped down to 137.5 km/h. Still quick but well down from earlier in the day.
As I type this, Naseem has left the field. Hopefully it's just fatigue and he hasn't picked up an injury. If he did, it wouldn't be a surprise given he's only 16.

Another milestone for Warner
By
That's the 150 up for David Warner, who has confirmed today he is far from a spent force at Test level. After the Ashes he had, he'll be making sure he does not leave a run out there.

Second new ball taken
By
Shaheen Shah Afridi to get the first crack with it. It's the understatement of the day but Pakistan need a wicket or two before stumps. Even then they'd still be in big trouble.

Second new ball available
By
But they are not taking it. Perhaps they are worried about their over rate, or they don't rate their quicks, who must be tired.
They should have completed their 90 overs by now, but they still have another 10 to go. They won't get through all those in 30 minutes.

Dropped
By
Marnus Labuschagne has been given a life on 33 by Asad Shafiq, who puts down a very hot chance at first slip off the bowling of Yasir Shah.
That edge off the cut shot rocketed to Shafiq, who did not have enough time to move his hands.
