Police investigate death of teen deliberately hit by car in Melbourne’s north-west

Homicide detectives are investigating after a teenage boy was killed and two others were injured when they were deliberately hit by a car in Melbourne’s north-west on Monday night.

Police said a group of teens were crossing Chichester Drive in Taylors Lakes when it’s believed they were deliberately struck by a vehicle at about 6.55pm on Monday.

A 16-year-old Keilor Downs boy was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

Police said he was one of three teenagers who were struck by a car, which fled the scene.

A 16-year-old from Melton and a 15-year-old from Keilor Downs were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“Police are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and the investigation is ongoing,” a Victoria Police statement said.
