A letter to the Honourable Mangocube6 (our email bounced)

Dear Mangocube6@yahoo.co.uk (aka Mark Bailey),

We write to address six questions that have been perplexing Queenslanders since your email address first shot to prominence with revelations it belongs to a state minister.

While noting that matters of transparency and state security are paramount, there are other nagging questions which we feel require answers so that regular Queenslanders can resume sleeping at night.

  1. We have learnt, via Google, what a mango cube is. We are still unclear, however, why it is being used as an alias for a minister of the Crown? Perhaps you could share the background behind this moniker?
  2. Why did you persist in using Yahoo years – no, decades – after far superior email services became available?
  3. In order to guarantee no further potential information is compromised, do you have any of the following accounts still in use:
    - MySpace?
    - Friendster?
    - MSN Messenger?
  4. Did you, at any time in the past 12 months, follow an election campaign in a foreign country known as the USA in which tens of thousands of journalists, security personnel and political opponents spent vast quantities of time fixated on the use of a private email server by candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton?
  5. Putting 2 + 2 together equals …?
  6. Perhaps the most pressing question of all. Who were the other five mango cubes also setting up English Yahoo addresses 20 years ago that forced you to resort to being mangocube six???

Your assistance in answering these questions before deadline would be appreciated. We tried emailing them but for some reason they bounced?
