Haven't been paying attention? Here are the Coalition and Labor's key policies in the NSW election

The 2019 NSW election campaign has been dominated by a few key themes.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian has told voters "NSW can have it all" if they re-elect the Coalition, while Labor's Michael Daley has run his campaign on "schools and hospitals not Sydney stadiums".

But what are some of the major policies in the key areas for both the Coalition and Labor in the March 23 election?

Here's the breakdown of what each side is pledging in the areas of transport, education, the environment, health and the rest.

TRANSPORT

Coalition

• Build the Sydney West Metro
• Reduce the weekly cap on Opal fares of $50
• Build a north-south rail link to Western Sydney Airport

Labor

• Build the Sydney West Metro
• Free public transport for all children
• Scraping the Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link and abandon plans to convert the Sydenham to Bankstown line to Metro
• Motorists to get a cashback if they use Sydney's M4

EDUCATION

Coalition

• Recruit 4600 extra teachers
• Clear the school maintenance backlog down to zero
• Expand before and after school care to give access to every child
• A commitment of $500m in funding for new buildings for non-government schools

Labor

• Recruit 5000 extra teachers
• Achieve 100 percent of the Gonksi school resources standard
• A $7.4 billion commitment to build and upgrade public schools
• Free TAFE courses to target skills shortages
• Extend early childhood education funding to every three-year-old

ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Coalition

• Aspirational target of net zero emissions by 2050
• Priority is clean, reliable and affordable energy

Labor

• Climate summit in first 12 months to make NSW carbon neutral by 2050.
• Ban single use plastic bags within 100 days of taking office
• Renewables to supply 50 per cent of electricity by 2030, 100 per cent by 2050.

HEALTH

Coalition

• Upgrades to a number of hospitals including St George, Ryde, Royal Prince Alfred, the Children's Hospital at Westmead and redevelop Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital
• Recruit an extra 5000 nurses and midwives

Labor

• Build a new $700 million North West Public Hospital at Rouse Hill
• Upgrades to hospitals including St George, Nepean and Goulburn

THE REST

Coalition

• Doubling the Active Kids voucher program
• Improve mobile and internet coverage in regional NSW

Labor

• Scrap the rebuild of Allianz Stadium
• Keep the Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo and built a new, separate museum in western Sydney
