Winners and losers: How will the WA budget affect you?

Housing, cost of living, and increased infrastructure development – these are the key issues at the heart of Treasurer Rita Saffioti’s second budget for Western Australia.

The $2.5 billion surplus in the 2024 to 2025 financial year (and the predicted $2.4 billion surplus in 2025-26) isn’t quite as impressive as those recorded in previous years, but it has still allowed for a wealth of spending in these fields.

While many parts of the state are being showered in cash, there are also some which have missed out.
