Teenage girl fighting for life after truck crash in Perth’s south-east
A teenage girl is fighting for her life after a serious car crash near Byford.
The crash was reported about 9am, when a truck and white Suzuki hatchback crashed near the intersection of Thomas Road and Briggs Road.
Thomas Road was closed in both directions between Master Road and Plaistowe Boulevard while emergency services worked.
It re-opened after midday.
A 16-year-old girl from the Suzuki was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The other passengers - a child, another teenager and an adult woman - were taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment.
Seven St John Ambulance attended the scene, along with the RAC helicopter and special ops teams.
Police also attended at the scene, and Main Roads operators directed traffic.
