This masthead understands Nuttall and the woman were engaged, and had just returned home to Perth following a vacation.

Nuttall, who is from the north-east suburb of Brigadoon, graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor of philosophy in 2019.

The description of the podcast he launched with a friend states it is “where reality gets a reality check”.

“Have you ever questioned why things are the way they are? Pondered about the shadowy recesses of existence? Or perhaps you’ve stumbled across a conspiracy theory at 3am and wondered, ‘what if?’ Well, welcome to our weekly ritual!” the blurb reads.

“For those who dare to look beyond the surface, for souls that seek more than just the ordinary, for beings who laugh in the face of the enigmatic – this is your sanctuary.”

Nuttall will next appear in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on September 17.
