Matic Transport worker dies in Bibra Lake, WorkSafe investigates

WorkSafe is investigating the death of a 50-year-old man at a Bibra Lake workplace on Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators attended the the head office of national transport and logistics company Matic Transport after the incident was reported.

WorkSafe WA Commissioner Darren Kavanagh said any work-related death was a tragedy, and relayed his sincere condolences to the man’s family and colleagues.

The news follows a worker at the Karlawinda gold mine near Newman dying on Thursday morning, two days after a mining fatality near Kambalda.
