Victoria's Marine National Park System
Marking 20 years since the establishment of Victoria's Marine National Park System, a world-first that saw Victoria create 13 fully protected marine national parks and 11 marine sanctuaries. Managed by Parks Victoria, these MPAs protect approximately 5.3 per cent of the state’s coastal waters, supporting more than 12,000 known species of flora and fauna, and safeguarding important marine habitats.
