For more than three years, Melburnians have been sharing stories in our popular series Life in the ’Burbs. Whether their suburb has bragging rights as the smallest, poshest, most diverse or smelliest, writers have been laying it bare about their corner of the city.

Today, we bring all of these articles together into a new interactive map – have fun tapping your way around Melbourne and all the suburbs featured in the series so far. See if you can find the suburb with the notorious Five Ways roundabout, the suburb that is Australia’s biggest by population (and growing), the suburbs where JB Hi-Fi and Kmart, Australia, began life, or the suburb where Mad Max and Phar Lap were filmed.
