Teenager wounded at large Brisbane house party
A teenage boy suffered a “significant wound” to his back at a house party in Brisbane’s north overnight.
The party was held on Oriel Road in Clayfield – the same suburb where Universal founder Greg Josephson was allegedly murdered during a house party this year.
The 16-year-old boy suffered what a police spokesperson described as a laceration about 9.30pm on Friday.
He was wounded by an unknown person, who ran from the scene before police arrived.
No other injuries were reported.
The boy, from Eatons Hill, was taken in a stable condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital about 10.30pm.
A large group of young people present during the alleged incident was dispersed by police as a second disturbance broke out on nearby Brooke Street.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
“Someone should have information,” a police spokesperson told this masthead.
Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is also urged to contact police.
