Man dies after crashing into tree on Sunshine Coast

A man has died after he lost control of his car and crashed into a tree in Noosa overnight.

Police were called to the scene on David Low Way at Peregian Beach about midnight on Thursday, after the Commodore sedan towing a box trailer crashed.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 29-year-old man from Peregian Beach, died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
