Man dead after forklift incident at Hope Island

A man, believed to be in his late 30s, has died after a forklift reportedly fell on him at a Hope Island workplace.

Emergency services, including five Queensland Ambulance Service crews, were called to the scene following reports of a man trapped underneath a forklift on John Lund Drive on Wednesday afternoon.

The man was found dead at the scene.

A Workplace Health and Safety spokesman said an inspector and investigator were on scene investigating.

A report was being prepared.
