Man allegedly attacks police officers during arrest

A man has been charged after allegedly punching and biting police officers in Fortitude Valley overnight.

Police were called to a taxi rank at the corner of Warner and Wickham streets shortly after midnight after a report of two men fighting.

Police were arresting one man when he allegedly became violent and punched and bit two officers during a struggle.

A third officer was then punched in the face.

A 24-year-old Nundah man has been charged with two counts of serious assault and one count of assault.

He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
