Brisbane’s rail network has been disrupted for most of the afternoon after a woman crashed her car onto the tracks at Wooloowin station in the city’s north.
The woman crashed through a fence and onto the tracks off the corner of Hudson Road and Lisson Grove about 1.40pm on Tuesday.
She was the only person in the vehicle and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
At 3.15pm, trains were suspended in both directions on the Airport, Doomben and Shorncliffe lines between Eagle Junction and Domestic Airport, Doomben and Northgate, with delays of up to an hour.
By 4.50pm, trains had resumed on the Airport and Shorncliffe lines, but services had not yet been returned to the Doomben line.
Trains on the Caboolture, Redcliffe Peninsula and Sunshine Coast lines were also previously suspended but had been restored.
Translink reported delays of up to 30 minutes on most lines across the network.
Rail replacement buses had been called in to service the Doomben line between Eagle Junction and Doomben.
