Loaded gun allegedly thrown from balcony during West End raid

A loaded gun was allegedly thrown from a balcony in West End during a police raid.

Officers and the dog squad smashed open a door at the Crowther Street unit on January 21.

Methamphetamine and cash were allegedly found inside.

As police raided the home, an occupant allegedly tossed a loaded weapon off the balcony.

Body-camera footage shows the bagged revolver later being collected off a sunshade.

Three people were charged with serious offences.

A 42-year-old Carina Heights man is accused of unlawful possession of a weapon, drug possession, and possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of crime.

Drug possession, possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of crime, and tainted property charges were also laid against a 50-year-old West End man and a 31-year-old Carindale woman.

The older man was also accused of obstructing police.

All three will face Brisbane Magistrates Court.
