Police believe the pair are known to each other.

Security footage showed the injured man stumbling along a nearby street, screaming out for help, before approaching a house with its lights on.

A resident, who did not want to be identified, told Nine News that the stabbed man was “in a bad state” and “there was blood everywhere”.

He was found a short time later by paramedics.
