Police were called to Bay Street about 8.20am after the weapons were surrendered to a lawyer’s office.

No threats had been made however police were investigating why the weapons were surrendered to a lawyer’s office and not a police station.

The emergency declaration was revoked about 11.40am once the area was deemed safe.
