Full list: Cairns, Brisbane airport sites latest concerns for contact tracers

A Brisbane swimming school, Brisbane Airport and numerous locations around Cairns, including shopping centres, a leagues club and a pathology clinic, have been identified as new COVID-19 exposure sites.

The Georgie Parkes Swim School at St Lucia has been added as a close contact site between 3pm and 4.45pm on July 28, while Brisbane’s domestic airport and Avis car-hire kiosk were listed as casual contact sites from 7.45am to 8.35am on July 26.

The Cribb Island Beach Club restaurant at the nearby Ibis Hotel on Airport Drive has also been identified as a casual contact site for various times from July 26 to 29, inclusive.

The new sites come after the infectious period of a positive case was revised.

Travel by a Cairns taxi driver and reef pilot, whose linked cases sent the region into a snap three-day lockdown, have also led to a number of new sites spanning the suburbs of Trinity Beach, Smithfield, Cairns City, Manunda, Kewarra Beach, Yorkeys Knob and Parramatta Park.

More than 300 exposure sites have been listed across the Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Rockhampton and Cairns regions after new COVID-19 infections were identified.
