Elderly driver killed in crash on Mount Coot-tha

An elderly man died in a two-car collision on Mount Coot-tha on Saturday night.

About 7.30pm, a Nissan Micra hatchback collided with a Subaru Outback along Sir Samuel Griffith Drive.

The 83-year-old male driver of the hatchback died at the scene.

A 36-year-old Taigum woman driving the Subaru was taken to hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.

Police are investigating and have urged anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage from the area around that time to come forward.
