Crime scene declared after two bodies found on Gold Coast

Two bodies have been found at a Gold Coast apartment on Friday.

Police are investigating the sudden deaths of two people at the Sapphire at the Broadwater apartment block after police were called to a Labrador street about 10.20am.

A 53-year-old man was initially found dead and a second body, believed to be that of a 48-year-old woman, was discovered in a wider search of the residence.

Police said the woman’s death was suspicious, but the man’s was not.

A crime scene was declared about 11.40am and forensic officers are on scene.

A post-mortem will be conducted at a later date and police investigations are continuing.
