Burglars punch woman, 68, take war medals from Logan house

A woman was punched and war medals were stolen during a violent burglary in Logan on Monday night.

Three men wearing balaclavas forced their way into a Marsden home and confronted the residents about 8.40pm, police said.

They demanded money before searching the house and fleeing with a cash tin and war medals.

During the burglary, a 68-year-old woman was punched in the shoulder, police said.

The other residents, two men aged 71 and 39, were not injured.

Police have asked anyone who might have seen anything suspicious near the Ashmore Close residence to contact them immediately.
