A series of traffic incidents has caused delays for the Monday-morning peak in Brisbane’s south and north.

A truck breakdown on the Gateway Motorway northbound at Eight Mile Plains, blocking the left lane above Logan Road, had pushed congestion back beyond Compton Road by 7.20am.

TransLink advised commuters travelling on services inbound along and from the motorway at Runcorn to expect major delays. A tow truck arrived to begin moving the truck after 8am.

On the Pacific Motorway, a crash in the northbound right lane near exit 26 at Loganholme had traffic stretched back to exit 28.

Two southbound lanes at the Story Bridge were also blocked by a crash between a vehicle and a bus just before 9am, with motorists warned to expect delays.

One person was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a stable condition.

Only the left lane remained closed by 9.45am while delays stretched back to Windsor on Bowen Bridge Road. The bus was towed from the bridge just after 10.30am.

In Nundah, a multi-vehicle crash on Sandgate Road blocked both lanes approaching Hamilton Road about 7am.

One lane was reopened by 7.15am, with emergency services and towing on the scene. Paramedics transported one patient to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The crash was cleared before 8am, though congestion remained back to Virginia.

Motorists in the city’s east were warned to expect delays after a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Ferguson Road at Camp Hill. That crash was also cleared about 8am.

Two trucks stopped traffic on the Ipswich Motorway westbound near the Oxley exit for a brief period about 10am, when a wide load blocked the right lane next to a truck that had broken down an hour earlier.

Large pieces of debris from an earlier incident on Southern Cross Way northbound at Eagle Farm were cleared by 7am.
