Body pulled from water at popular Sunshine Coast beach

A man’s body has been pulled from the water at a popular Sunshine Coast swim spot.

Police say a 35-year-old man was found unresponsive in the water at Kings Beach, Caloundra, just before 9.40am on Thursday.

Efforts were made to save the man, who lived in the nearby suburb of Little Mountain, but he was announced dead at the scene.

Investigations are under way, but the death does not appear to be suspicious.
