Mother unconscious, two adult sons stabbed in Leura

Police have found a mother unconscious and her two adult sons unresponsive with stab wounds at a home in the Blue Mountains town of Leura.

Emergency services were called to a home on Myall Avenue, Leura, near Katoomba, at roughly 7.30am following reports of a concern for welfare, NSW Police said.

Officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command attended and found two men, believed to be in their 40s, with multiple stab wounds.

Their mother, in her 60s, was found unconscious.

The men were treated by paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition. Their mother was taken to Blue Mountains District Hospital in a critical condition.

A crime scene has been established at the home, and police are investigating the matter, including whether self-harm was involved.

“No further information is available at this stage,” NSW Police said in a statement.
