The man who allegedly killed a sex worker before running through the Sydney CBD on a stabbing rampage earlier this year has been charged with an additional child abuse offence.

Mert Ney was detained during a citizen's arrest near Wynyard train station in August, after he ran through the streets shouting religious slogans and brandishing a large bloodied butcher's knife.
