Gordon Wood will not face further court challenge: DPP

The NSW Director of Public Prosecutions will not challenge the quashing of Gordon Wood's conviction for murder.

In a statement this afternoon, Lloyd Babb, SC, announced that the DPP would not appeal against the Court of Criminal Appeal's judgment.

It said no further statement would be issued.

The court last month unanimously acquitted Mr Wood of killing his girlfriend, Caroline Byrne, 16 years ago.
