Bondi beach reopens on Tuesday, April 28, 2020
Bondi beach reopens on Tuesday, April 28, for local swimmers and surfers. Beaches at neighbouring Randwick Council had to be closed on Friday after large groups of people flocked to the coast to sit on the sand or have a swim, defying council rules they must only use the spots for exercise. The city's famous Bondi beach has been closed since March 21, after pictures of large crowds gathering on the sand were published.
