Giant hail, flooding, monster waves and tornadoes in 2021- by Herald photographer Nick Moir
The Sydney Morning Herald's chief photographer Nick Moir has captured some of the spectacular, unpredictable and life threatening weather events in 2021. "Giant hail, flooding, monster waves and tornadoes were the theme of our weather this year. Two years ago we were staring down the barrel of an unparalleled bushfire threat after a vicious drought. Now we are coming out of the wettest November on record with many of our rivers flooding. BOM messages, which are often conservative, have instead contained tornado threats and giant hail warnings."
