Power out in Watson? Blame a fallen tree

Power was cut to Watson for 30 minutes on Wednesday evening after a tree fell on power lines.

Emergency services responded to a hazard after the tree fell onto power lines on Street Place.

EvoEnergy, who operate Canberra's electricity network, cut power to the area before crews on site cleared the downed tree.

An EvoEnergy spokeswoman said power had now been restored to the area.
